USE OF EUROPEAN STANDARDS OUTSIDE EUROPE: IISG supports the Standard Institution of Israel

In the frame of the project run by the European Commission to spread the knowledge and application of European standards outside of Europe (TAIEX), IISG was asked to teach a seminar in Tel Aviv for the government laboratory of the SII (the Standard Institution of Israel).

The seminar was held on June 14 and 15 in Tel Aviv with the goal to practically explain the requirements and test methods defined in the European standards for various childcare articles (pacifiers, baby bottles, soother holders, cutlery and feeding utensils).

SII officials have shown great interest and appreciation for this event, which made it possible to clarify critical points and avoid errors in applying the standards.
