The CPSC has approved the lowered 100 ppm limit for lead in children’s products, effective on August 14, 2011. If no changes are introduced on the Federal Register during the publication, the limit will apply to both new products and to products already on the market. Therefore, after August 14, 2011, children’s product containing more than 100 ppm of lead cannot be manufactured, imported, distributed or sold. Our chemical laboratory is CPSC accredited and can test for the presence of lead in your products, in order to assess for safety and compliance. |
