- Products not intended for children: MANDATORY CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY
In a recent specification, the CPSC has clarified that starting from January 26, 2011 the filling of the Conformity Certificate will be necessary, so that to attest the conformity to the requirements of flammability applied on the following products also if they are NOT
intended to children:
 - Vinyl plastic film 16 CFR 1611,
 - Clothing textiles 16 CFR 1610,
 - Carpets and rugs 16 CFR 1630 and 1631.
The Conformity Certificate shall be based on a reasonable program of tests at the discretion of the manufacturer and shall not be necessary
based on the test reports performed from CPSC accredited laboratories. The conformity certificate shall explicit the parts of the Code of Federal Regulation to which the product complies (16 CFR 1611 per Vinyl plastic film, 16 CFR 1610 Clothing textiles, 16 CFR 1630 e 1631 Carpets and rugs).

- Children nightwear: CPSC ACCREDITED LABORATORY TESTING MANDATORY
Beginning February 16, 2011, the following tests must be performed by a CPSC accredited third party laboratory:
 - Standard for the Flammability of Children’s Sleepwear: Sizes 0 through 6 (FF 3-71), 16 CFR Part 1615 (effective date February 18, 2011);
 - Standard for the Flammability of Children’s Sleepwear: Sizes 7 through 14 (FF 5-74), 16 CFR Part 1616 (effective date February 18, 2011).
