The new 16 CFR Parts 1219 and 1220 will introduce additional requirements for full size and non full size baby cribs. These new rules are based on ASTM F 1169–10, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for full-Size Baby Cribs and on ASTM F 406–10a, Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Non-Full-Size Baby Cribs/Play Yards.
These standards have been significantly revised and the new version, among other requirements, will ban drop sides.
