| Bisphenol A: banned within the state of New York |

The state of New York has banned the presence of Bisphenol A (BPA) in all child care feeding products intended for children under three years of age, in particular - pacifiers; - unfilled beverage containers. The ban will involve the sale of those products with effect from 1 December 2010. The law lists other examples of other products that fall within its scope such as: - baby bottles; - cups and sippy cups; - straws; - cup lids; - baby bottle liners. While the potential hazards of BPA in consumers products, and those specifically for children’s’ feeding products remains in question, both the Our chemical laboratory can test for the presence of BPA in your products, in order to assess for safety and compliance. |
