ICQ has been accredited in the list of the CPSC laboratories. Since November 12 2008, JEWELLERY and SILVERWARE for children must be accompanied by a certificate of conformity that the product complies with all the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulations. This certificate must contain various information regarding the product, the safety of the product and the manufacturer. In order to fill up the certificate of conformity, the product must be subjected to specific tests, such as:
These tests must be performed by a CPSC accredited laboratory, when required. We underline that, starting from August 14 2009, the current maximum limit of lead in paint will decrease to 90 ppm and products not in compliance with the new limit can no longer be sold, distributed, marketed and imported in the U.S. market. |
