
ICQ laboratories work according to the test procedures established by national and international standards (AATCC, ASTM, ISO, EN) for the following category of products:
- Children's clothing
- Adult's clothing
- Home textiles
- Shoes and leather items
In ICQ laboratories, technicians perform tests on fibers, yarns, fabrics and garments;then issue test reports and, when required, quality control reports per Client Manual.
ICQ carries out many different tests, including:
- Mechanical testing: tensile strength, tear strength, seam slippage, abrasion and pilling resistance, stretch and recovery, uniformity, unevenness and yarn tenacity, small parts attachment, rain test and spray test.
- Colorfastness testing: to light, to crocking, to perspiration, to washing and bleaches, to pool water and sea water, to burnt gas fading.
- Chemical analysis: formaldehyde, pH, azo colorants, pentachlorophenol, flame retardant finish, pesticides, nickel, cadmium, nonylphenol and nonylphenol ethoxylate, phthalates, EcoLabel tests, SVHC e RSL.
- Flammability testing: on upholstery fabric, on daywear apparel and nightwear apparel, 16 CFR 1610, 16 CFR 1615/1616, ASTM D4152, UFAC CIGARETTE TEST, C.T.B. 116 – 117, 49 CFR 571.302.
- Verifications and determinations of fiber content, label and care instructions.
- Safety verifications of children’s clothing for DRAWSTRINGS according to CPSC Regulation.
