ICQ USA has been accredited by the American Association for laboratory Accreditation in the field of Mechanical and Chemical Testing. As part of the process, our quality system,  technical staffs and calibration and testing protocols were reviewed and found in compliance with accreditation requirements.
ICQ USA’s A2LA scope consist of chemical testing certificate No. 3106.01, mechanical certificate No. 3601.02. Laboratory accreditation is a formal recognition of an organization’s technical competencies to perform specific tests.
These requirements are incorporated in the scope of ISO / IEC 17025. A2LA works with accrediting organizations around the world through its Mutual Recognition Agreement, which has gained the program national and international acceptance.

INMETROinmetro

IISG-ICQ has gained accreditation by INMETRO for export of toys to Brazil: IISG INMETRO LABORATORY ACCREDITATION Identification number 0482. All toys placed on the Brazilian market should be certified by an accredited laboratory recognized by INMETRO (National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality). Certificates issued by IISG will allow you to export your products to Brazil.

EC Certification

IISG-ICQ has been notified to European Commission as qualified Body for EC type examinations (n. 0376).

Within this field the Institute carries out:

  • EC type certificates, that is the certification stating the conformity to the essential requirements of the European Directive 88/378/CEE Safety of Toys adopted by the Council of the European Community;
  • conformity certificates to EN-71 Standards on Safety of Toys approved by CEN (European Committee for Standardization);
  • researches on testing methods and analysis related with toys safety. We operate in close collaboration with the Italian UNI and participate for it at several European working groups about toys, child care articles, playground equipments and furniture.

IISG-ICQ has and keeps updated ACCREDIA accreditation. ACCREDIA is an organisation that verifies and supervises that the tests in laboratories are in compliance with the Standard UNI CEI EN ISO IEC 17025. The ACCREDIA accreditation is internationally recognized by ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation).

ICQ (HK), the Hong Kong subsidiary of ICQ Group, has gained HOKLAS ACCREDITATION (registration n° 195).

ICQ is a competent body responsible for carrying out independent testing on paints and varnishes according to the European Commission Decision No 2009/544/CE.

ICQ has been qualified as a Certified ISTA Laboratory, for performing packaging tests.

The experience acquired in decades in this area, has lead ICQ to understand what are the specific problems related with the costs controls and with the damages during the packaging transit.

 

Other Accreditations

The laboratory takes part to Correlation AATCC, ASTM and Labintex round test to evaluate repeatability and reproducibility of the analysis, to promote quality and study the most critical tests.
