Today, ICQ is one of the most respected independent quality certification and testing laboratories for children’s toys, furniture, clothing and other childhood products in the international marketplace.

ICQ is a pioneer and a leader in the industry in the promotion and evolution of quality safety standards for children’s toys and childhood products.

The mission of ICQ’s technicians, engineers and chemists is to study and analyze the wide variety of toys and consumer products that are being launched in the global marketplace.

Our team of psychologists also contributes to enhancing the safety of products by evaluating the ways children interact with specific toys at different phases of their development. This process includes the age grading of toys and evaluating the abilities children need to be able to play with them.

In addition to our testing laboratory in the United States, ICQ laboratories are also located in Italy and Hong Kong.

The multi-year expertise developed in the area of products safety led ICQ to be officially recognized as a CPSC approved laboratory (identification number 1038 and 1096) and to be an European Notified Body under Safety of Toys Directive.

ICQ takes constantly part to different Technical Commissions and to several Working groups of CEN (European Committee for Standardization) and ISO (International Standard Organisation). ICQ is always updated about Standards development and improvement and it has frequently connections and interactions with the staff of other European Notified Bodies and international laboratories.
